TONIGHT: Using Analytics in Your Community

The live workshop series in The Secret to Thriving Online Communities is one of my favorites in a long time.

So far, we’ve covered paying for group growth and building a strong moderator team.

Tonight, I’m talking data, specifically how to use analytics for community growth. Depending on the platform you use, you can get a lot of data on your community’s activity. But the value of that information varies according to your goals and community size. Most pre-submitted questions have been specific to Facebook but if you’re using a different platform, make that clear when you add your questions to the list.

  • The anniversary of 9/11 reminded me why community matters. Though I would not want to experience that level of tragedy again, I do long for the unity that came of it.
